What is cervical pain?
Cervical pain can be brought on by a number of reasons. Changes in the disc, or joints that are connected to the neck or changes in the bone from abnormal or hereditary causes. Often times, we may spend too much time at our desks, have injuries from sports or bad posture, sleeping wrong or you might have even been in an accident. Sometimes it’s just aging. The level can be minor or severe and wherever you are, we have options to help you get the relief you need.
Several Reasons For Cervical Pain:
- Injury – an injury in your neck or to your spine region can be an instant aggregator for cervical pain.
- Herniated discs – this is very common and can happen unexpectedly or over time. Cracks give way to leakage of the internal cushioning material which can in result, pressurize the spinal nerves and cords. Often times you may feel pain in the arms or numbness.
- Overactive use of the neck – Many folks suffer from cervical pain from everyday movements. Desk jobs, heavy lifting, bad posture, sleeping wrong and spending too much time on your digital devices are all culprits of causing cervical pain.
- Bone spurs – As we age, we can develop an overgrowth of bone that can compress against our spinal cord and nerves and cause tremendous pain.
